- Stress reduction
- The soothing effect of the warm water and bubbles coupled with the massaging action of the water jets helps relieve physical, emotional, and mental stresses of everyday life.
- Relieve aching joints and muscles
- The hot water and hydrotherapy effect of the water jets massage and soothe achy joints and tight and tense muscles
- Improve your sleep
- A relaxed mind and body after a dip in your hot tub facilitates a calm and peaceful sleep
- Bubbles bliss
- Relaxing alone or fun with family and friends your hot tub hire will soothe your body and lift your spirits, energising both mind and body.
- Orientation and location
Before hiring your hot tub, you’ll need to consider
- where it’s going to go and
- what view you will have whilst you relax in your hot tub.
You will need an area of at least 2m2 of solid flat ground which is free of sharp objects and mud. Further to this, if you are hiring a higher quality solid hot tub, you will need to consider access to your preferred location and the proximity to a power and water source. Any reputable hot tub hire company, like jackuzzi.com, will advise on the requirements.
Your hot tub can be filled with a hose from an outside cold tap or with the correct adapter can be filled from a hot tap, like running a bath, and it will be ready to use as soon as it is filled, which is great for short hire periods.
- Type of Tub
As with most things you get what you pay for, this is definitely true when buying a hot tub. However, when hiring a hot tub, the hire cost for a solid tub is similar to that for a much cheaper inflatable hot tub (c.f. solid hot tubs are 5-10 times more expensive). Why is this? It’s because the solid hot tubs are much more robust, they won’t pop or tear and consequently they last much longer than the cheaper inflatable and foam types. It’s a point worth considering when hiring for a special occasion, there’s a reduced risk of problems with a solid hot tub so your hot tub party won’t be going POP!
The main types of portable hot tub available for hire are:
- Inflatable hot tub
- Cheapest
- Thin-walled air filled
- poor insulation
- prone to puncturing
- Lack of seating
- Normally either air or water jets – not both
- Easy access
- Foam hot tub
- Cheap
- Foam replaces air
- improves insulation
- Lack of seating
- Normally either air or water jets – not both
- Easy access
- Solid or hard-shell hot tub
- More expensive
- Thick wall
- good insulation
- robust and sturdy
- Moulded seating
- Both water and air jets
- Maybe access restrictions
We at Jack Uzzi decided to only use Rotospa.co.uk solid hot tubs for our hire
The majority of hire companies offer inflatable and foam types only as they are easily transported in a car or small vehicle whereas the majority of solid hot tubs require a large van or trailer. Whilst there are a number of very reputable companies hiring the inflatable and foam types, with the low purchase costs and easy transport and set up, it is worth doing a little research by checking their website and their testimonials and calling them with any questions you have.
- Treatment of Tub
One of the beauties of hiring your hot tub is you don’t have to think about the cleaning and maintenance. However, it is not something you should completely ignore for your own safety’s sake.
All reputable hire companies will undertake a cleaning programme between hires, they will deliver and set up your hot tub, install a clean filter, provide you with instructions on how to use your hot tub and managing the quality of the water and will provide you with sufficient chemicals and testing kits to cover your hire from start to finish. This should include:
- Chlorine tablets
- Testing strips
- pH+
- pH-
Your hire company, like jackuzzi.com, also offers a customer service contact for you throughout the duration of your tub rental.
- Unity and Great Fun
Hot tubs can be both relaxing and tranquil but they are also great for unity and great fun. Invite your family or friends for a hot tub party, they’re a wonderful social vehicle for special occasions like hen and stag parties, graduation celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries or family gatherings.
You might want to add a gazebo, lighting, waterproof speakers and other extras to really set the mood for your hot tub party.
- Budget and Booking
Whilst the price to buy a hot tub varies quite significantly, the cost to hire is often quite similar whichever type you choose. Therefore, it is worth checking with a few hot tub hire companies and asking what types of tubs are available.
The busiest periods are throughout the summer, Christmas and new year, Easter and bank holiday weekends, therefore it is prudent to book early to secure your booking.
